Heirloom mums are a great option for fall weddings, as they come in a variety of colors and are easy to find at local farms. We’re not talking about your average grocery store chrysanthemum or potted plant though. Heirloom mums come in a variety of gorgeous colors such as white, dusty pink, blush or ochre and they can unique, funky textures. Heirloom mums have a great vase life and are generally hardy flowers.

One of my favorites is Rudbeckia, also known as black-eyed Susan. This cheerful flower is native to North America and grows abundantly in the Pacific Northwest. It's a great choice for a Seattle wedding because it's available in many colors and its daisy-like petals add texture and whimsy to any design. Rudbeckia is the perfect addition to a relaxed fall wedding.

Lisianthus is a versatile flower that is grown in the Pacific Northwest and is perfect for summer and fall weddings. Its delicate petals and ruffled texture can work in a variety of designs. We love using it in bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces. For fall, we love lisianthus varieties that comes in white, brown, burgundy, and peach. One of my favorite fall textures is the Snowberry. This beautiful flower is native to the Pacific Northwest and is a great addition to any autumnal wedding. Snowberry comes in shades of white and pink. It’s a cute texture in boutonnieres and adds a great linear shape to other arrangements.
