SEATTLE CITY VENUE ON THE LAKE
On the north shore of Lake Union, this modern restaurant is the perfect venue for a laid back city wedding. The ceremony can be held on the lake front and then party the night away with your nearest and dearest with delicious food. Westward is in the Seattle neighborhood of Wallingford. I love that it’s right in the city but the lake front restaurant provides a relaxed vibe.
COLOR PALETTES
Let’s play off the stunning lakefront vibes and incorporate shades of blue into our palette. Delphinium blue with neutrals such as cream and toffee would be stunning for any time of year and will always be timeless. While blue flowers can be hard to come by, bring in shades of blue in the way of ribbon, candles, linens, and paper goods or signage. This palette would be perfection at Westward in Wallingford, Seattle.
For a spring wedding in Seattle, how about some fun pastels with seasonal blooms? We love the lively, colorful energy that pastel flowers can bring to a wedding aesthetic. We’re having a moment with the color lavender so let’s create a palette with that instead of sky. The cool lavender tones will still mesh beautifully with the lakefront setting at Westward. Add some blush and peach hues for warm contrasting colors.
Lastly, for a lively summer wedding—shades of cream and yellow. We love how intentional and unique this palette is. The monochromatic palette definitely gives serious artistic vibes while remaining simple. In fact, we already booked a Seattle wedding with this palette and can’t wait to see how it turn out. We’re dreaming of feverfew daisies and cosmos for a wild, colorful summer wedding on Lake Union.
CEREMONY FLOWERS
Bouquets are a part of your wedding ceremony flowers and we love this artfully designed monochromatic yellow bouquet. While we love a wedding bouquet with a variety of blooms, opt for simplicity when it comes to your crew and ask for bouquets with one flower variety en masse. There are two ways to do this. One is that your wedding party all carries a bouquet with the same variety of flower. Alternatively, each person could carry a bouquet with a different flower variety. Either way, we love this idea for a unique alternative to wedding party bouquets that is chic and simple. Also, chat with your florist about what ribbon color would be best for your wedding bouquet. We always, always recommend luxurious hand-dyed silk for a finishing touch on your bouquet.
RECEPTION FLOWERS
Every cake needs to be surrounded by a magical garden. We love this cake flower trend and hope it’s here to stay for a while. A super simple white tiered cake surrounded by blooms. It’s the perfect statement piece for your Seattle city wedding and a design that your guests will definitely remember. We are in love with this cake garden or cake cloud, if you will. It can be adapted for any color palette or seasonal flowers. We’re all about creating impactful designs rather than spreading your investment thinly. We love this alternative to traditional cake flowers—ask us about this design for your upcoming Seattle wedding.

STYLING IDEAS
We love adding candles to our tablescape designs for ambiance and height. Colorful taper candles are the perfect way to do this. While you can always choose a candle color in a coordinating color that matches your flowers, we love the idea of choosing something in a contrasting color. For example, if all your flowers are warm hues like canary, peach, and blush—a sky blue or lavender candle is going stand out in the best way possible. It’s kind of like the saying in fashion, “you want to go, not match.” Chat with your florists about how candles can add to your wedding aesthetic and what makes sense for your wedding day.
