Disco Glam Wedding | Union Club Tacoma

Last month, we had the pleasure of collaborating with an incredible team of vendors in the Tacoma area to create a gorgeous styled shoot. The idea was to create a wedding design that combined the disco trend along with a more classic glam look. The disco glam juxtaposition was really beautiful and we really took a popular motif and put our own spin on it. Most of the disco weddings inspiration I’ve seen has really vibrant colors so this definitely broke the mold. The results were incredible and we can’t wait to share the photos with you!

PALETTE & FLOWER SELECTION

The palette was sophisticated neutrals which are so up our alley. We used dusty mauves, silver, gold, ivory, and black for a timeless sophisticated wedding look. I truly believe this palette could work for any wedding during any season, but it still deviates from the typical white and green look. We used lots of gorgeous neutral flowers and textures such as amnesia roses, white delphinium, silver brunia, gold painted plumosa, antique carnations, blush butterfly ranunculus, sweet peas, statice, purple moon roses, and a few others. We leaned into Spanish moss for gorgeous texture, in lieu of baby’s breath. We also leaned on the talents of Haus of Stems painted anthurium for a distinct look and touch of edginess. We would love to use Haus of Stems in more of our wedding work this year—we promise your wedding flowers won’t be forgettable! As always, we finished the wedding bouquet and boutonniere with hand-dyed silk from our favorite, Silk & Willow.

THE VENUE

The host of our lovely styled wedding photoshoot was at the Union Club Tacoma. The space was so beautiful, and filled with so much character. The venue was anything but boring. There were many different spaces within the building to utilize and it would be perfect for hosting a wedding in an artistic, unique space. We created an intimate ceremony space in front of an organic stone fireplace. While we could envisioned cocktail hour or the reception on the main floor with a huge bar. The possibilities for your wedding are endless at Union Club Tacoma.
