Colorful Spring Garden Wedding Inspiration | Stanwood, WA

Samittra, of Wild Serenity Weddings, and myself collaborated to create the concept and design for this early summer photoshoot in Washington. Our team put together an unforgettable photoshoot in June 2023, at The Secret Garden Estate in Stanwood, Washington, and we're excited to share all the details with you! From the florals with a unique color story to the modern flatware, this wedding photoshoot has everything you need to create a stunning garden wedding that your guests will never forget.

Flowers elevate the design of every wedding, creating the perfect ambiance, and tie the entire theme together. For our photoshoot, we chose a color unique tonal palette of mauve, sky, gold, and cream to create the perfect maximalist look. Our florals were the star of the show, from the bride's dramatic mauve silk-trailing bouquet to the lush, modern arch design adorning the ceremony. We also created a cascading table runner for the head table, filled with florals and woven with cream tulle. The result were stunning floral designs that stole the show.

Some of the flowers we utilized included:

  • roses: golden mustard, purple moon, white majolica spray roses, various garden roses

  • orchids: yellow oncidium and dyed mauve phalaenopsis

  • mock orange

  • foxglove (from the venue’s garden!)

  • alstroemeria

  • hydrangea

  • delphinium

  • tweedia

  • blueberry foliage

  • irises

  • and others!

When it comes to the tableware, we went for a look that incorporated both modern and vintage elements. We used modern gold and white flatware, paired with vintage-style plates with a scalloped edge to create a relaxed but elegant look. We also included cream linen napkins, golden yellow textured water goblets, and modern red wine glasses with custom scroll name tags. The ‘Provence’ chairs were the perfect fit for the table design, and is a design element that should be given more consideration. We also styled the table with groupings of fresh fruit to bring in another texture and bring in some of the floral colors from the centerpieces.

All of these details added to the elegance of the tablescape and kept the maximalist theme going strong. We really wanted to step away from the minimalist trends of years past and embrace all the color and detail in an intentional way.

The expertly designed wedding invitation suite created by Sincerely Emily Studio was also a highlight of the day. Emily created ornate floral designs and custom paper in shades of mauve and sky. These paper designs complemented the theme perfectly and added the perfect touch.

To tie everything together, Emily and our lead photographer, Stormy, created a flat lay setup with unique details such as opal binoculars, fresh flowers, wax stamps/seals, and a perfume bottle. All of these details highlighted the maximalist wedding theme and made for stunning photos of the paper designs.

Our photoshoot fully embraced a maximalist garden wedding concept that embraced color much like the majority of our 2023 clients. From the florals to the tableware, every detail was thoughtfully chosen to create an ambiance that was vibrant, luxurious, and unforgettable. We hope this has given you plenty of inspiration for your wedding! If you're looking for a wedding florist in Seattle, Washington, our team would love to help transform your dreams into reality.
