Colorful Island Tent Wedding With Hanging Floral Installations

The Pacific Northwest has no shortage of outdoor enthusiasts who love to embrace the beautiful summer weather and celebrate their wedding al fresco. Tent weddings will never go out of style and provide the perfect “blank slate” venue for any palette or aesthetic. If you're considering an eclectic wedding vibe, filled with colorful florals, vintage gold accents, and impactful installations, then this is the perfect wedding to inspire your 2024 Seattle wedding!

The sailcloth tent is an ideal canvas to create a distinct, stylish wedding celebration. With the right floral and event design choices, you can transform a simple tent into an elegant wedding venue. Colorful hanging installations full of flowers and greenery cascade from the ceiling, adding layers of depth and dimension to the space. We utilized an eclectic mix of flowers such as peonies, dahlias, roses, orchids, hydrangea, and other seasonal blooms to create a vibrant color story that fit the coastal aesthetic perfectly.

The floor plan within the tent is equally important. We always recommend a mix of wood farm tables and round guest tables to create more visual interest. The head table consisting of 3 farm tables was styled with lush floral compotes interspersed with bud vases, brass vintage taper candles, and textured votives. The tablescape design utilized vintage gold accents, with neutral linens and tableware to balance out the vibrant flowers.

When it comes to the wedding party, mismatched outfits are a trend that I hope is here to stay. The mismatched, eclectic look can also translate to the personal flowers as well. This couple opted for single flower variety bouquets for the wedding party per our recommendation, for a unique but still timeless look. The groomsmen can wear mismatched boutonnieres, featuring unique combinations of flowers. We finished the personal flowers with stunning, ethereal silk ribbon in shades of deep blues and greens.

Colorful florals and event design were definitely a trend that dominated 2023 and we hope it’s here to stay. This wedding is the perfect example of a relaxed, vibrant color palette that was able to embrace seasonal flowers and the coastal vibes.
